``RM Re-Library'' reprints two to three volumes of past masterpieces from ``RM LIBRARY'', which has a long history of over 260 issues.

The 5th volume of the new series is a continuation of the 2nd volume ``Mani 35, 36, 37 types - Variations of modified luggage cars'', and includes the ``Mani 60 and 61 types Suuni 60 and 61 types''. I picked it up. This was published as Volumes 138 and 139 of the RM Library, and we have also created 4 new pages of color graphs.

As you can see from the model name "60", the four types we will be talking about are steel-bodied passenger cars, in other words, they reuse the underframes and trolleys of old wooden passenger cars, and create new steel bodies to improve their transportation structure. This is a series of vehicles that have been improved (however, the interesting thing about this kind of format is that there are a few vehicles that cannot be said to be made of steel...).
The Mani 60 type is the basic form of a steel-bodied luggage passenger car, and at the stage of making the steel body, it was divided into two groups: a group that was born as the Mani 60 type from the beginning, and a group that was born by re-modification from other steel-bodied passenger cars. Masu. Of course, the appearance is different, and there are also cases of later modifications and cases where the type of car is different between the book and the actual model, so it is of great hobby interest. The Mani 61 type is a part of the Mani 60 type with the trolley changed from TR11 to TR23.
The Suuni 60 type is a postal luggage combination vehicle, and consists only of vehicles that were born as the Suuni 60 type from the beginning when they were made into steel bodies. On the other hand, all of the Suuni 61 cars are re-modified from other steel-bodied passenger cars (including some non-steel-bodied passenger cars). It is thought that the two formats were made into different formats because the loads for luggage and mail were different.
In this book, we first classify these four formats by number, and clarify the individual differences by including as many format photos as possible. It also includes formal diagrams to help you understand better, so it will be very useful for model making. I would love to have it as a set with RM Re-Library 2 "Mani 35/36/37 Types - Modified Luggage Vehicle Variations" by the same author.
