Zebra paint around the cab on the large deck. This startling appearance

The old electric machine is the EF59, also known as Senohachi, which was used as an auxiliary machine on the uphill line of the continuous steep slope section between Seno and Hachihonmatsu on the Sanyo Main Line.

As you can see from its appearance, this aircraft was modified from the pre-war Hanagata Denki EF53 and EF56. The locomotives, which could be called thoroughbreds, were relieved of their original duties and used as auxiliary machines for slope sections as their last duty, and they continued to play an active role as unsung heroes until the mid-1980s.

This book is "Railway Vehicle Detail File Seno Engine District's EF59" Part 1.
This is a combined version of Part 2 and reissued as a beloved edition with a color page added to the beginning.
This book is a must-have book as it is a collection of records for each of the 24 EF59 aircraft, which clearly retain the appearance of pre-war passenger electric machines.
