This year marks 45 years since the closure of the Kaetsuno Railway Kaetsu Line. This program will introduce the 57-year history of the line, from its opening as the Tonami Railway in 1915 (Taisho 4) to its closure in 1972 (Showa 47), as well as the 19.5km line between Isurugi and Shogawa-cho, the successive rolling stock from the early steam locomotives up until its closure, the never-ending plan for a high-speed electric railway between Toyama and Takaoka/Kanazawa, and the Shogawa Hydroelectric Private Railway, which had a deep connection with the Kaetsu Line.
