RM Re-Library is a reprint of two or three volumes of the best volumes of the long history of RM LIBRARY , which has already exceeded 270 issues. The 14th volume of the series focuses on freight cars with certain characteristics, a unique subject born from the perspective that only RM LIBRARY can offer. This is a combined edition of RM Library volumes 83 and 84 , "Freight Cars Carrying Cars (Vol. 1 and Vol. 2)" (edited by Watanabe Issaku).

Although the term "car transport" is used in general, this book covers many different types of freight cars. One type transports new passenger cars as completed products from factories to the consumer area or the port of shipment. Another type is used to carry trucks with their cargo, making up for the driver shortage and aiming to save energy. There were also vehicles that transported travelers' cars and motorcycles coupled with passenger cars. From the 1960s to the early 1990s , various ideas were tried and then disappeared, and all are no longer in operation. This book will answer the question of why they never took root or became widespread .

Each chapter was written by an authority on the Railway Friendship Association's Freight Car Division, making this a somewhat unique book for the RM LIBRARY , and it is full of passion.
