This year marks the 45th anniversary of the discontinuation of the Kaetsu-no Railway Kaetsu Line, which includes the history of the 57-year journey from its opening as the Tonami Railway in 1915 (Taisho 4) to its abolition in 1972 (Showa 47), and the journey from Isurugi to Shogawa Town. A line of 19.5km in length, a history of rolling stock from the early days of steam locomotives to when they were discontinued, a high-speed electric railway plan between Toyama and Takaoka/Kanazawa that ended in a phantom, and a dedicated Shogawa hydroelectric system that had a deep connection with the Kaetsu Line. We will also introduce railways.
